1. General information

This Privacy Policy reflects the commitment of the University of Alcalá (UAH) with the correct use of personal data and respect for the fundamental rights and values ​​of every democratic society. The University of Alcalá is responsible for all the processing of personal data that is produced in and by the institution itself. Through its Privacy Policy the University of Alcalá informs the users of the website www.uah.es, as well as the members of the university community, that the personal data to which the University has access will be treated and incorporated into its different information management systems and are subject to current regulations regarding personal data protection. The Delegate of Protection of Personal Data of the University (DPO) is Professor Ms. Mónica Arenas Ramiro and will be in charge of informing, advising and supervising the activity of the University regarding the data processing that is carried out in it. 2. Processing of personal data made

The different types of personal data processing carried out by the University of Alcalá in the exercise of its obligations or functions, carried out in person or within the framework of its website or in its electronic headquarters, will be considered confidential and will be treated by the latter in accordance with current legislation on the protection of personal data, collected in detail in the Register of Treatment Activities of the University. The personal data processed by the University of Alcalá come, normally, from the interested party. 3. Legitimacy of the processing of personal data performed

The University of Alcalá treats the personal data of the members of the university community in a legitimate way, with the purpose of fulfilling its legal obligations and with the mission that it performs in the public interest or in the exercise of the public powers attributed to it . In the event that a treatment of personal data requires the consent of the owner of the data, the University will require it, stating that it has been provided clearly and expressly, through a clear affirmative action. The legal basis of each of the treatment activities carried out by the University of Alcalá is included in the Registry of Treatment Activities of the University.

4. Purposes of the treatments and uses of personal data

The personal data that are the responsibility of the University of Alcalá will be treated by the same for the purposes of academic, teaching and research management, for the processing and maintenance of the corresponding labor or official relationship, for control and safety in university facilities , as well as for the correct economic and financial management of the University and its contractual or conventional relations, as well as for the management of its information, communication and dissemination services. The list of purposes according to the activities carried out is included in the Register of Treatment Activities of the University in connection with the corresponding legitimate base. In order to correctly provide the public service entrusted to it, the University of Alcalá may send institutional information about its services and activities to the members of the university community. Regarding any other information that the interested parties receive, and for which they had subscribed, they may unsubscribe at any time by means of the corresponding procedure enabled for it. The personal data collected from the different members of the university community must be true, accurate, complete and current data. The UAH, or, where appropriate, the entity that works on behalf of it, will implement the necessary security measures to verify the identity of the user. But, in the event that the person who communicates the data is different from the one that will be declared as a user, it will be understood that he has the express consent of the user for it and that he grants us his authorization to perform the corresponding treatment. The user will be solely responsible for any direct or indirect damage or harm that could be caused to any person due to the communication to the University of false, inaccurate, incomplete or outdated data. Likewise, it is informed that the images of the members of the university community that appear on any of the University’s websites, or dependent on it, have been treated with total respect to the current data protection regulations, as well as to LO 1/1982, Protection of the Right to Honor, personal and family privacy and own image. For this reason, UAH does not authorize any user to reproduce, distribute and communicate the photographic and videographic images found on a University website. The UAH is exempt from any responsibility for breach of this requirement. It is possible that some of the processing activities carried out involve an international transfer of personal data to a country located outside the European Economic Area, for which the mandatory express consent of the owner of the data will be required in the corresponding form or document for collecting data. Beyond these uses, personal data processed by the University of Alcalá will not be communicated to third parties outside our institution except in the cases established by law. The data will only be transferred in those cases that are expressly informed to the owner of the data and legally proceed.

5. Conservation of personal data processed

The personal data processed by the University of Alcalá will be kept by it as long as the provision of the service or the labor, official or contractual relationship is maintained, during the time necessary to fulfill the purpose for which they were collected, or during the time provided in the corresponding regulations, as well as to attend to the possible responsibilities derived from the treatments previously carried out.

6. Rights of the owners of the data

Any person may exercise the rights of access, rectification, deletion, opposition, portability, limitation of processing, and not be subject to automated individual decisions regarding how much of their data is processed under the responsibility of the UAH. These rights will be exercised in front of the General Secretariat of the University of Alcalá, by writing to the Delegate of Data Protection at the address Plaza de San Diego, s / n, 28801 Alcalá de Henares (Madrid) or by mail to the address protecciondedatos@uah.es, attaching a photocopy of the ID of the owner of the data. In the case of representation, it must be proven through the forms admitted by law. In any case, the owners of the data may submit a claim to the Spanish Agency for Data Protection if they had not obtained a satisfactory response regarding the exercise of any of the aforementioned rights.

7. Duration and modification of the Privacy Policy

The UAH reserves the right to unilaterally modify the terms and conditions stipulated herein, in whole or in part in order to adapt its Privacy Policy to legislative developments, jurisprudential criteria, industry practices or interests of the institution. Any change will be made known to the members of the university community, in due time, through this website, as well as by the means that the UAH deems most convenient.
